Debasish Banerjee

Debasish is an experienced actor and scriptwriter in theatre, television and film. He has worked as an actor in the renowned Open Theatre group in Kolkata, India, having performed in, amongst other plays, adaptations of plays by Luigi Pirandello, Bertolt Brecht and musicals, Man of La Mancha and West Side Story. Debasish has worked as an actor and scriptwriter for Indian television with Doordarshan, ETV and ZeeTV. He has acted in Anjan Dutt’s Bada Din and Roland Joffe’s City of Joy.

Chandrayee Sengupta
Actor, Company Director

Doctor by profession actor by passion, Chandrayee is trained in Indian classical dance forms of Bharatnatyam and Kathakali and has performed in India and the UK. She has directed a television documentary on Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel Laureate Indian poet. She has brought her stage experience to theatre as an actor and her work as a production manager has been instrumental in building the team. Her performance in Uttoradhikaar was highly acclaimed by critics.

Arjun Sen
Technical - AV, Lighting and Digital Design

With over ten years experience in the software industry, Arjun is our technical designer. Having worked for the ubiquitous Adobe Systems, Arjun employs his skills both on and off the stage. Web and graphic design, digital audio-video and stage lighting are his passion.

Sarit Bose
Actor, Production

​An IT professional, Sarit loves to enact people and characters; but never got enough opportunity to do so. Used to love drawing penc in the childhood; till 'know it all' elders convinced him that using a pen is more important in life than wasting time on a brush. Eager to go back to what he loves; before it is too late, Sarit has joined the team to pursue his passion.

Ayan Bhattacharjee
Actor, Production

Data Consultant Ayan is passionate about serious theatre. He has been involved in group  theatre and has appeared on stage for over last 8 years. He has interviewed a few famous theatre personalties​​ for a theatre periodical.

Urmi Roy/Singh
Production 

Urmi Roy Singh has grown up in Delhi and now lives and works in London. She had a passion for theatre and has performed in drama and Jatras from a very early age. Her keenness for the performing arts persists and despite a busy life, she finds time to get involved in staging our productions.

Shiblu Chowdhury
Actor, Production

Shiblu brings us over 18 years of theatre experience as an actor having performed in over 25 plays and over 300 stage performances in Bangladesh and the UK. Amongst his most recent performances, he played Biraj in Tahar Namti Ranjana and played the lead, Handa, in Hottomala - The Wonderland in London that were highly acclaimed by both viewers and critics. Shiblu practices method acting influenced by the Constantin Stanislavski school. He has also written Osprishya (The Untouchable), Talk Show and Ekti Rat Ekti Golpo (A Story of a Night). He is a well-known host on Bengali TV channels in the UK. Shiblu also helps us with media promotion.

Koushik Chatterjee
Actor, publicity and marketing

​Koushik is passionate about acting. He has had experience in stage acting, performing for his local club in Kolkata and continues pursuing his passion in UK too. Professionally, working as a retail Consultant with MNCs he has great skills in marketing and has brought this valuable skill into the team. Recently he has acted in a web series 'Sarate Aaj', produced by Zee TV.

Moumita Moitra

​A well-known model, Moumita, works in hospitality business as a flight purser for British Airways. She was interested in acting from a very young age and to develop her acting skills, Moumita attended courses run by RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts)and has experience in stage and screen acting.

Music

​Young doctor Deyashini is a musician heart and soul. Composing the background scores for Eastern Thespians' productions, Deya is an indispensable member of the ET family.

Samrat Sengupta
Actor, Production Design

Having worked in theatre and television serials in Kolkata Samrat arrived in the UK in 1994 to act in a theatre festival organised by Manchester City of Drama. His career spans over two decades in the UK, acting in theatre, television adverts, professional role plays and museums as a story teller. Besides working in the current production, Samrat also works with Kali theatre, a British Asian theatre company.

Suchismita Ganguly

Suchismita is one of the UK’s most accomplished classical dance performers. Specialised in the fine art of Bharat Natyam, Suchismita is higly acclaimed and has several prominent shows to her credit both in the UK and aborad. She also teaches dance and has now makes her debut in theatre.

Shobhon Ahmed

.Shobhon is a vocalist and a photographer. A graduate in Rabindra Sangeet, Shobhon has actively performed and organised several concerts at various venues in London and abroad. His photographic skills captures our theatrical moments perfectly.

Wasim Makeem Javed
Technical - Sound

​Wasim has worked on several advertising, film and theatre projects in India. He was assistant director to John Gabriel’s Last Few Days at the London Met University. He has directed Asbab, a short film, and documentary Tader Kotha. Recently he has specialised in audio and music applying his skills for Anwar Hauqe’s Sesh Anker Shuru and Ahashad Masum’s Bondini as part of Brady Art Bengali Drama projects.

Stage Manager

Adrika is our stage and properties manager. Her enthusiasm and timely assistance keeps us organised backstage. Adrika is also a talented singer in both North Indian and Bengali music.
